Idaho
McCall
McCall, Idaho — a small mountain town on the shore of Payette Lake, ringed by the Salmon River Mountains and the edge of the Payette National Forest. It's the kind of place that changes with the season: alpine trails and lake access in summer, backcountry powder in winter, and a downtown that stays walkable and low-key year-round.
Project Waypoint's first destination is built around what McCall does best — trail riding out of Bear Basin and Jug Mountain Ranch, a lake worth basing a whole trip around, and a handful of local spots (a coffee shop, a brewery, a bike shop) that know the area better than any guidebook. This is where the Waypoint passport starts: explore the trails, support the local businesses that make McCall what it is, and collect your first stamps along the way.
